Need to examine: Unless you are a heavy tobacco abuser, it is not likely to be cancer, however, it is not feasible to say what the lesion may be, without examining you. You may wish to consult your doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Risk: At your age unless you are a heavy smoker or abuse alcohol, cancer risk is low. To be absolutely sure, and for peace of mind, see your Dentist, especially if it doesn't disappear in about 10 days.

Red spot on gum: What you describe may be as simple as a small blood clot or bruise. However, we cannot determine that over the internet, sight unseen. You have two choices- wait two weeks and see if it's gone. Then no worries. Otherwise get it evaluated by your own dentist. Most likely it is something temporary or benign but we can't determine that in this type of forum. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Probably Not: but if it isn't gone in two weeks go see your dentist to find out what's going on.
