Addictive meds: Not sure your question, but it sounds like you're asking why your new doctor stopped your xanax when it had worked so well to control whatever symptoms you're experiencing. Many drs are concerned about prescribing frequent or daily addictive medications, because it can worsen beyond your control. There are other anti-anxiety therapies that are less addictive, talk to a provider about alternatives

Anxiety : Best long term treatment is SSRI and psychotherapy. Counseling may help. Xanax is addicting
