Nothing: By definition it is a diagnosis of abnl blood work. That being said cholestatic changes can be seen with a liver biopsy.

CBC/ CRP: Liver function tests - a combination of enzymes and bilirubin can be used to diagnose cholecystitis. A CBC showing an increased White Cell Count and a raised CRP suggesting inflammation can all be used in combination to aid diagnosis.Other blood tests such as Amylase and Lipase are added to rule out pancreatitis. An Ultrasound Scan can be be used to rule out gallstones which can be a cause as well
