Dr. John Chiu answered

Neurogenic?: The itching may be from a neurologic source . Consult another allergist or dermatololgist who is more knowledgeable about itching disorder. There is usually a solution for your problem. I presume that you have been using moisturizer on your skin within 3 minutes after bathing since dry skin is the more common problem for itchy skin.

Itchy skin: Agree with Dr. Chiu. Avoid harsh soaps and laundry detergents. Consider gentle moisturizing soaps. Colloidal oatmeal baths may help. Make sure that shower or bath water is not too hot. Pat skin dry gently. Apply moisturizer.
