Dexilant: Dexilant, a ppi, can be stopped but I would taper off it or switch to zantac or pepcid which also block acid secretion in the stomach with a different mechanism of action. The question remains as to what is causing your abdominal distress even while taking dexilant. Perhaps you should consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment.
