Yes: HPV is a local tissue infection.It does not travel through the blood and can never be passed through a transfusion.There will be circulating antibodies to HPV in the blood, but these are not a problem.Blood centers would not routinely look for HPV antibodies.Most will ask you basic questions about sexual contacts & some STD's (not HPV).
