Straining activities: If the 15 year old is obese, weightlifting, playing jumping sports like volleyball, or straining at the stool, all of these activities increase intra-abdominal pressure pushing down on the uterus.(Valsalva maneuvers). Usually at this age the uterine ligaments are very supportive and we(MD's) do not see this condition.
