I don't think I can: give you a general rate of false positivity for direct fluorescent antibody testing. The test will be positive when there is a sufficient number of antibodies present to cross the threshold and register a positive. It is very accurate for viruses, especially respiratory, if enough antibodies are present.DFA can also detect immunoglobulins/complement but often not whether disease present,i.e. lupus
