All depends on what-: -he/she told you what the reason for the referral. Often the X-ray is a formality, & a specialist opinion is needed. To diagnose your problem. Be sure you bring your X-rays with you to the appt. even though nothing serious is seen on the imaging, specialized images may be needed, or even CT or MRI. Don’t worry, just be sure you listen carefully to what you are told, & ask questions.
