4year old has temp of 39+ that doesn't come down with paracetamol and ibrufen. complaining of aching legs. doctor has said he has tonsillitis ?

Antibiotics?: Did his doctor put him on antibiotics for his tonsillitis? If he has, fever should go down in 24-48 hours after starting antibiotics. A lukewarm bath can also help to decrease his temp. Paracetamol and ibuprofen will help with the aching legs. Follow up with his doctor if fever persists more than 48 hours after starting antibiotic.
