Had bv for about six years now. i'm 20 years old. every time i've been to the doctors i've been giving antibiotics which never work. what shall i do?

Recurrent BV...: ...is common, difficult, often very frustrating for both patient & doc. BV is not necessarily an STD, but avoiding sex or always using condoms may help. Preventive treatment with vaginal metronidazole (MetroGel®) or boric acid vaginal capsules may help. If your doc is unfamiliar with these, ask for referral to a gyn who specializes in infectious diseases; or an NHS GUM clinic for expert care.
