I have type 1 diabetes and i am also on high levels of thyroxine as my thyroid was removed. can i expect a normal life expectancy or is it unlikely?

Depends on D control: A study reported in 2015 reported that there is a 11-13 year shorter life span in individuals with D type 1, but that study started in the 80's and since then sugar management has improved dramatically, and a new study has shown that diference reduced by 1/3 in a study with intensive control. Research is ongoing, and longevity may improve more with future Rx. Thyroid has less effect.
