Doctors are like: Golfers. They offer various solutions to a problem. Personally both are correct but i would side more on the first opinion to suppress thyroid growth. If this does not suppress the growth, complete thyroidectomy or radiactive iodine treatmeñt is the last resort.Best wishes! http://thyroid.About.Com/od/thyroiddrugstreatments/a/treatments_2.Htm.

Labs, ask why: Often times there is not one correct answer. Have both endos explain the lab results and also there rational for what they are presenting. Normal labs are not always normal depending on the situation.
