I had an episode of severe lumbar back pain while bending backward, couldn't get up from bed, worse when pushing myself with my hand or knees. it passed after 5 days of taking naproxen. the mri showed l have a l5-s1 ~5mm hernia. could it be from it?

Possibly: I wouldn't worry about MRI findings at this point if your back pain has resolved and if you don't have any pain/numbness/tingling radiating into your lower extremities.
