You are correct.: Adults can't grow taller once arm & leg bone growth has stopped, usually at the end of adolescence or in early adulthood. There's a condition called "acromegaly" caused by excessive amounts of growth hormone that can cause excessive long bone growth in young people and growth of other bones in adults. It's accompanied by many "other changes." Don't believe everything you read on social media!
