Not just for growth!: While GH is important for growth in children, it is important for adult health too. Adults with low GH levels tend to be obese & fatigued with increased risk of heart disease, diabetes etc. Some Drs. give GH shots as an anti-aging Rx but I only advise that if levels are quite low as it's pricey and has side effects, but natural measures to raise GH are wise. Adult growth hormone: Is still needed, mainly for neurologic an cognitive functions mainly, other benefits like increased energy levels or lean body mass can be achieved by GH replacement in adults. Only professional assessment by experienced physicians to determine whether somebody needs GH replacement, as in cases of head surgery/trauma, or other cases of extreme asthenia
