Concern, not med.: Metoprolol Succinate slows the heart & lowers blood pressure, allowing more blood to fill the coronary arteries & easing the workload on the heart. All of these things should EASE chest discomfort, not worsen it. Whatever you've experienced, is it coincidence that it started while taking Metoprolol? Chest discomfort could be a concern if you don't know what caused it. TTYD or HealthTap Prime. GL!
