Retroversion: The uterus is probably retroverted (leaning backwards) causing the cervix to be anterior (leaning forward) under the bladder and sometimes under the pubic arch. Have a GYN MD or more experienced Nurse Practitioner look for the cervix and strings using the above information as well as using a pediatric speculum which has a shorter anterior blade for visualization.

Nothing: A 'tilted' uterus us normal. Like saying your left handed. 30 percent of women have uteruses that tilt 'backwards'. Experience helps s practitioner work with uteruses in different positions . Now if your string is up in your cervix, it might be that no one could find the string.
