Painful: It generally is painful and will often bleed. White coating on the tongue may be good debris and can be wiped off.

I have been treated with nystatin for 2 weeks. My tongue still has the white coating and often feels sore. I checked with dentist and he said this condition isnt at all related to oral thrush. Should i visit a third doctor or an oral pathologist?
On doctors recommendarion i stared using Nystatin to treat oral thrush. However the white coating on my tongue looks the same everyday. No change, no dissapearance of fungi in any part. Is this normal?
