Could progression of visual field loss be related to optic nerve damage that occurred 5 mos. prior or is that not long enough for it to be seen.

See an eye doc: It isn't clear what is the cause of the optic nerve damage (?demyelination, trauma, autoimmune, metabolic, vascular...?) but if you have progression of visual loss you should be seen by an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.
