A member asked:

Could i have had previous concussions and not known it? would that make my current concussion worse and slower healing (even if they were awhile ago)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but...: Previous concussions can make subsequent ones worse, and prolong certain components of the healing process. However, there are specific components of concussions which portend to a more prolonged course, and thus could have little to do with any previous events, whether known or not. Further discussion with your doctor should help clarify this historically.
