Diagnosis?: It sounds like you were treated with an ablation procedure (viz. radiofrequency rhizotomy or neurotomy), assuming the diagnosis of refractory back pain. This is typically done after a diagnostic procedure using facet block. If so, again, assuming the issue was back pain, it can last some time, but needs to be associated with other aspects of care (e.g. in some cases PT) to have maximal effect.
