Is taking insulin injections only option for diabetes patients or there is also some oral medication available for this purose?

Depends on type: Type 1 diabetics do not make sufficient insulin, and thus Type 1 diabetics must use insulin to control their blood sugar. Some Type 2 diabetics may also need insulin, but usually, they are started on oral medications such as metformin first.
