Diabetes: The vast majority of folks w/diabetes have Type ii Diabetes which is primarily from lifestyle. The body can make insulin but it cannot transport it into the cells to make ATP, which gives us energy. W/work it can be reversed. Type I diabetes comes from a malfunctioning pancreas and insulin is not being produced. It is typically diagnosed early in life while Type II develops later.Peace&health.

Depends on type: Type 1 diabetics do not make sufficient insulin, and thus Type 1 diabetics must use insulin to control their blood sugar. Some Type 2 diabetics may also need insulin, but usually, they are started on oral medications such as metformin first.
