Constipation: Please check w/your doc first, but a Chinese dietary supplement called "Cholinex" in English works well for many. You can get it in a Chinatown or the net, but ask doc first. Contains things like honeysuckle, licorice, and more. Of course fruits and vegetables are helpful. Peace and good health.

Fiber and water: Drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless. Increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods. http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/high-fiber-foods/art-20050948 You may also take a fiber laxative like Metamucil with plenty of water.

Many good choices: Constipation is common but it'salways wise to look for underlying causes/rule out serious possibilities like colon cancer. Common causes include hypothyroidism, magnesium deficiency and imbalances of flora. Eat more fruits and veggies, drink more fluids, exercise. Consider magnesium (taurate or citrate to increase levels, milk of magnesia as laxative), probiotics and Triphala,an Ayurvedic formula.
