Burning: Burning in naval could be due to many issues. Did you have abdominal pain also, if not could be due to abrasion, or fungal or yeast infection. If you had abdominal pain with it, please let us know as could be more serious. Was area red or any discharge? If none of above, could be from gas but let us know if continues. Rarely pain in naval area can be a sign of early appendicitis.

Burning navel: Your symptoms imply nerve pain. Keep the area clean with dilute hydrogen peroxide and apply bactroban. If there is any drainage, swelling or if persists be assessed. Sometimes a hernia may intermittently get trapped. All the best.

I have Pectus Excavatum and got the Nuss procedure done in the beginning of October. Around two weeks ago, I started feeling a burning or tearing sensation between the sides and have a sharp back pain in the middle of my back towards the right side.
