Ask your surgeon: Fish oil in high dosages can be anticoagulant so it is important you discuss it with your doctor.

Supplements: I usually advise patients to stop all supplements in the weeks preceding surgery. We don't know enough about how these supplements might interact with the medications given during and after surgery. Some supplements may also increase risk of bleeding so better to stop them before surgery and resume when your doctor says its ok.
