A member asked:

Got trazadone to help stay asleep. tried a few x, woke up 1-2x, very groggy in the am. how many nights should i try it to see if it'll keep me asleep?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DEPENDS: So Trazodone is actually an antidepressant that is very sedating and at low doses has been used to help with sleep. It should help fairly quickly and typical doses for sleep are 50mg to 150mg. If not effective at these doses in a few nights, then it is not for you.
