My first question is: how did you clean it out? I'm concerned you used an implement that you had probably used previously which may have injured your ear and caused some bleeding. This old blood is the source of the blackened color of the wax. And the injury probably has caused the pain. You can watch things for a few days, but if the ear pain persists, see your Doc/ENT specialist.
