A member asked:

Is it safe to use a humidifier and have the window opened at the same time, it won't mess up my child's breathing right ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shouldn't: A humidifier is designed to add a slight amount of moisture to the air and doesn't effect breathing pattern. It may help the throat/lungs not dry out in a heated house. The only risk involves the need for cleaning to avoid the growth of mold that will always occur.
