Diagnosed with an inflamed ileus, after having virus 2 weeks before, is there a way to speed up recovery or reduce sever nausea no appetite; cant eat

Gastroenterologist: An inflamed ileus causes primarily right lower abdominal discomfort. Severe nausea is usually not a prominent symptom. A viral gastroenteritis generally clears within a week. In view of what you refer to as an inflamed ileus and severe nausea, I feel an evaluation by a gastroenterologist is needed for diagnosis and treatment. Appropriate tests will be ordered.
