No - except quads: The inflammation of the bronchus (upper large airway) would lead to a cough unless the patient is unable to cough (e.g. they are a quadriplegic). A viral bronchitis can lead to a non-productive cough initially, but usually these will become productive in a short period of time, so a non-productive cough can be bronchitis.
