What is best to ease chronic stuffiness and easily irritated nose- humidifier or vaporizer? what is difference between them?

Either: Humidifier puts out cool mist. Vaporizer puts out steam. Both add humidity to air. Humidifier is safer to use than vaporizer as vaporizer uses boiling hot water- risk for burns if knocked over. Both need to be cleaned thoroughly to prevent accumulation of mold in apparatus.
