Sure, but...: It would mean the patient caught HIV quite a while ago because it takes time for HIV to damage his immune system to the point of his developing opportunisitic infections such as oral thrush. Opportunistic infections are infections that happen to weakened patients but typically not to people with a healthy immune system. Whatever happened one day before oral thrush appears should not be the cause.

Oral manifestations : Studies show there are several oral manifestations of HIV including thrush (fungus) , hairy leukoplakia, herpes , and more. Not the day after but after HIV has affected immunity enough to cause AIDS or immunodeficiency which leads to opportunistic infections.
