No: how old is your baby? are there other symptoms like fever or ear discharge? is he feeding well? Pain is still there for 3 days, despite treatment, that requires re-evaluatin, kindly revisit your baby's pediatrician, good luck

Not optimal: If he's fever free & otherwise better it may just be slow to respond.I find cefdinir a day or two slower than Augmentin in achieving good results. The pain often reflects pressure on the drum caused by the buildup of debris & that can take a while to improve.Ibuprofen does help most. I'd call the office when it opens & discuss this with the staff.A revisit may/may not be required.
