Possible thrombosis: Nuvaring is associated w increased risk of local thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis (blood clot), arterial clots, & other vascular related disorders. Removing the Nuvaring is a good idea, but if it is a blood clot it needs to be addressed by a doctor. Need a vascular ultrasound, possible blood thinners (can start aspirin meanwhile), etc. Call the prescribing doctor or go to ER is after hour
