A member asked:

15mm gestational sac identified 2wks later 17mm gestational sac with crl 3.8mm with no cardiac activity. is miscarriage imminent?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: The fact that the embryo has essentially stopped growing and there is no cardiac activity suggests a failed pregnancy. Sometimes Mother Nature does not eject the failed embryo, but it remains in a degenerated state called a "missed abortion". Your MD will be able to make that determination with further testing and take the necessary action.
