C 7 radiculopathy: If you have no carpal tunnel (median nerve compression at the wrist), numbness of the middle finger is from C7 root compression. If there is no weakness in your arm, then it is sensory C7 radiculopathy and not as worrisome as C7 motor radiculopayhy. EMG would help evaluate if C7 root motor fibers are also affected, thus helping with assessing your chance of developing arm weakness in C7 myotomes.
