The HIV DUO test: is a 4th generation Elisa immunoassay which tests for both antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 and the p24 protein which is on the surface of the HIV particle. You need a couple more weeks to be very confident you are HIV negative; at 4 weeks the test is 95% accurate. A final test, eliminating that final 5% risk, should be done 12 weeks after exposure. Good wishes:)

Slightly reassured: Ten days is a bit too soon. Probably about half of newly infected persons would test postive by that time with the 4th generation (antigen-antibody, "duo") test, so it's slightly reassuring. The test probably is 90% valid by 3 weeks and is conclusive for sure at 4+ weeks.
