Varies : There are multiple potential causes. The plantar fascia runs from the calcareous to the metatarsal heads "balls" and can become inflamed in a condition known as plantar fasciitis. Metatarsalgia is another common cause. Don't hesitate to be seen for a specific diagnosis.
