I started having pain in my left ankle, now its moved under my foot(heel) and now its beginning to hurt(sharp to ache) up my leg. what is it?

Supportive shoes: Are a start. Really depends on what is causing soreness. May need orthotics or other treatments. See podiatrist if this a persitent.

Achilles tendonitis: If pain began in back of your ankle then it sounds like you are straining your achilles. Often when people have pain on the bottom of the heel (plantar fasciitis) they try walking on the front of thier foot to relieve the pain, this causes the achilles tendon to get strained and hurt.
