Time to see doctor: If antibiotic treatment is not helping, and worrisome symptoms persist, a patient needs to be re-evaluated by a doctor. Perhaps there is an abscess in a tonsil or at the back of the throat. Perhaps a different medication is needed. A "choking feeling" and "tight neck throughout the day" sounds bad... which means one should not wait to be re-evaluated.
