Dosing: How did you get the Rx for Cipro? The correct dose is 500mg AM/PM on a full stomach for 7-10 days. Abstain sexually and if having unprotected intercourse, get screened for STDs.

Cipro for UTI?: Unfortunately, there is a significant amount of bacterial resistance to agents like Cipro, Bactrim...antibiotics we would traditionally use against urinary tract infections. Nitrofurantoin is usually a better choice in this regard. To know for sure, though, we would really need to review a urine culture with sensitivities to antibiotics assessed.
