Gyn exam: If they are doing a proper exam - yes this will likely do a "bimanual" exam which includes inserting a finger or more into your vagina - HOWEVER - a good physician will discuss what they are planning on doing and explain the procedure and go at the rate you feel comfortable. Be honest - explain your situation and i am confident it will go well.
