A member asked:

Is wbc level of 10-20 in urine test a cause of concern?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need follow-up: An isolated reading of 10-20 WBC may not be worrisome, but it warrants repeating the test in 3-4 months. Be careful to collect the sample properly. You may consult this site for proper urine collection: http://a1.mayomedicallaboratories.com/webjc/attachments/46/e7dc0a4-urine-collection.pdf For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
