Rare: It would be VERY unlikely for you to 'catch' cancer from a chemical. Cancer can be caused by trauma to your cells but it is usually repeated trauma over a long period. For example, if you worked with asbestos for 30 years you might develop lung cancer. But touching asbestos once briefly is unlikely to give you cancer
