My lithotripsy didn't break up my 7mm stone. it is now 6mm and stuck. what now?

See answer: Some kidneys stones (e.g. calcium oxalate monohydrate) are quite dense and don't fragment well with lithotripsy (ESWL). If stone "stuck" in the ureter, ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy +/- stent placement would usually be the next step with a high success rate. If the stone still in the kidney flexible ureteroscopy/laser lithotripsy still a reasonable option. Repeat ESWL less likely to succeed.
