I just had lithotripsy for an 8 mm stone. another stone at 5 mm remains. should it be removed? if so, what is the wait time between lithotripsies?

Ask your MD: If you're taking tamsulosin, you should pass that fragment without surgery. 6 weeks before you should get another lithotripsy. Your urologist also may do a ureteroscopy this time for improved chances of clearing that fragment.
