Tachycardia: There are many causes of tachycardia (fast HR). Your morning heart rate may be a result of dehydration (no liquid intake at night), drugs (including caffeine), hormone effects (thyroid?), electrolytes or intrinsic electrical issues. Your mild rise in HR may also reflect your activity, even if mild. Consider the above or seeing your physician.
