A member asked:

My first or maybe the second rib is a bit protruded in the middle of upper chest..and it can be seen clearly...is that ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Protrusion: This may be a prominent joint at the costochondral junction where rib joins sternum. This is not necessarily pathological if it's been present many years without change or is not associated with chronic inflammation. For further concerns, have a physician examine and advise you.
