Depends: It depends on the reason you're taking it and the dose. The gaps are not harmful but you're likely peaking in the early evening and nadiring in the late morning. If that treats your symptoms adequately, it's okay. It's not the best for BP control though. You know, they do make a long acting, once a day form called propranolol ER? ("extended release")
